I received a bill in the mail today for $17.00. I have not been to this dentist in 20 years. When I did get a cleaning 20 years ago my bill was paid in full. Why are you sending me a bill after 20 years that was ALREADY PAID! Is business that slow???

First appointment He was great. I came in because I was having really bad dental pain gave me antibiotics and said that after a week and the infection was gone he would remove the tooth. Came back the following week and after I explained to him that I was still in pain and had had this pain for on and off 10 years he said he wanted to try and save the tooth. I did not feel like he was listening to me. I understand wanting to save the tooth but in this situation it very much felt like he just did not want to take the time to do it.

We have dental insurance, and after performing X-rays, they provided us with an estimate of $3,500 without any explanation or compassion. It was clear that they had little time to discuss our concerns, and their primary focus seemed to be maximizing profits from both the insurance company and us as patients. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST! ZERO STARS!!! I have never in my life come across a more unprofessional, rude, and unethical person in public health. One of his hygienists was extremely unprofessional as well - enough to make my daughter feel unsafe in her chair. When Dr Smaldino was called about this, he did not want to hear anything from us, would not let my daughter talk, blamed her for feeling unsafe there, and belittled her on the phone. Unfortunately, the Ohio State Dental Board has no jurisdiction over unethical and unprofessional behavior and Smaldino knows it. He knows he can say whatever he wants, but I am counting on the power of this review to help protect others. READ THE REVIEWS. WE ARE NOT THE FIRST TO HAVE THIS EXPERIENCE. He should not be in this business.

had not been to a dentist in over 30 yrs. my tooth shattered and i was in a lot of pain for 2 days trying to find a dentist quick. friend told me about Dr Smaldino but he was a drive for me( i live in Cleveland) When his assistant Michelle took my call and heard my painful situation she got me in the next day. He pulled my tooth with no pain. i will be a customer for life, well worth the dive, very professional
